Our Wellbeing team is growing and we are recruiting for an ambitious and self-motivated Wellbeing Physiologist to join the team. If you are a candidate based in the Birmingham area who is passionate about supporting our clients in their wellness journeys, then we would love to hear from you!
This is an on-site, full-time position where the successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9am to 5.30pm. The successful candidate will be based in Birmingham and prepared to travel to client sites as and when required.
As a Wellbeing Physiologist at Health Partners Group, you will enjoy a very varied role, with some of the core responsibilities including:
* Delivering lifestyle clinical assessments of patients.
* Providing evidence-based advice tailored to the patient’s health profile (adiposity, biochemistry, blood screening) and stage of behaviour change.
* Formulating and implementing written action plans based on treatment prescription, which is modified for the applicable stage of change.
* Setting positive and realistic goals, coaching the patient to realise their potential.
* Supporting patients living with lifestyle-induced disease to make positive and sustainable lifestyle choices for enhanced chronic disease management.
* Giving assistance and reassurance to clients during their medical tests.
* Delivering evidence-based exercise sessions to groups.
* Utilising specialised equipment to perform clinical physiological tests.
* Recording, analysing and interpreting physiological and clinical data, assessing patients’ clinical risk, making informed decisions whether to escalate to GP or OH practitioners for further investigation and management.
* Maintaining and calibrating equipment in line with HP Policy, reporting faults etc.
* Acting within the boundaries set out by the company’s policies to ensure sensitive personal information is protected as required by law, regulatory bodies, ethics and best practice.
* Supporting the preparation and delivery of educational workshops and health & wellbeing webinars.
* Being proactive in the design of health promotion campaigns empowering employees with the knowledge to make informed decisions on their health
* Getting clients and equipment into correct locations and positions for events.
* Producing new and innovative strategies to enhance the role preventative services play in an Occupational Health Service.
* Empowering others to be accountable for their own health and wellbeing
* Acting as a health and wellbeing role model, ambassador, and team player.
* Developing and promoting a culture of health and wellbeing first.
* Keeping knowledge up to date through continued research and commitment to learning.

To be considered for this role you must be able to complete standard baseline measurements and be confident in health promotion. You will also need to have a background such as sports science, exercise physiology, sports therapy, nutritional exercise, sports rehabilitation or BASRAT instructors.
You will need to have a willingness to travel UK wide.
