We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources.
\n\nOur Exeter Energy From Waste (EFW) facility has been operational since July 2014.\n\nIt operates under a partnership with Devon County Council and safely diverts about 60,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste away from landfill from households within Exeter and the surrounding area each year and enough electricity to power the equivalent of 6,624 homes.\n\nJob Purpose:\n Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all mechanical equipment at the ERF plant, supporting other disciplines as needed. Ensures safe and efficient plant operation, coordinates contractors, and maintains a secure working environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nPerform planned and unplanned maintenance activities.\nEnsure maintenance targets are met safely and efficiently.\nSupervise contractors as needed.\nDiagnose and rectify mechanical faults.\nConduct plant and safety inspections.\nMaintain accurate records in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).\nFollow site procedures and health & safety protocols.\nPerform risk assessments to ensure safe operations.Requirements:\n\nTechnical qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent) with a recognized apprenticeship.\nExperience in mechanical engineering in process industries or power plants.\nKnowledge of Maintenance Management Systems.\nStrong problem-solving and communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and coordinate activities.Are you a qualified experienced Mechanical Technician with experience on an ERF, Waste to energy plant please send me your CV - \n\nServices advertised by Gold Group are those of an Agency and/or an Employment Business.\nWe will contact you within the next 14 days if you are selected for interview.
