Foot Mobile Service Engineer (Electrical)
Location: City of London and Fulham area
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time - Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 + Flexible Benefits + On-Call Allowances + Overtime
About the Role:
Are you an experienced Foot Mobile Service Engineer looking to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team to provide reactive and planned maintenance services for electrical plant equipment across our client sites. This role involves ensuring plant and associated equipment are maintained to the highest standards and in line with current legislation.
You'll be working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. From fault finding and installation to servicing and repairs, this role gives you the chance to develop your technical skills while playing an important part in the smooth operation of critical building services. Additionally, there’s the opportunity to provide "out of hours" call-out cover, offering extra earning potential.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Foot Mobile Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose, repair, and install equipment, ensuring it meets current standards and statutory requirements.
* Electrical Fault-Finding & Installation: Perform fault diagnosis, repair, and installation across a range of electrical plant and equipment.
* Electrical Testing & NICEIC Certification: Conduct electrical testing and complete NICEIC certification to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* M&E Plant Fault Resolution: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical plant faults, ensuring all systems are functioning effectively.
* Reporting & Documentation: Submit clear, concise, and accurate reports of work completed, including time spent on tasks and recommendations for further works.
* On-Call Duty: Provide out-of-hours call-out cover when required to address urgent maintenance needs.
What We’re Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
* Experience: Previous experience as a mobile service engineer within the commercial sector, specifically in electrical maintenance.
* Technical Expertise: Hands-on knowledge of electrical plant servicing, repair, and installation, as well as HVAC systems and their controls.
* Electrical Qualifications: Level 3 Electrical Qualification (NVQ or equivalent), with experience in NICEIC documentation.
* Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues effectively and efficiently.
* Health & Safety Awareness: A strong understanding of health and safety standards within the workplace.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications Required:
* Ideally, you will have completed an electrical apprenticeship with experience in the maintenance field.
* City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 / AM1 / AM2 (or equivalent qualifications)
