Our client is from the Charitable Sector and based in Nothamptonshire near Rushden. They are seeking an experienced AAT qualified Management Accountant to join their Finance Team on a temporary basis on an immediate start 2-3 days a week.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking for flexible working hours, while supporting the financial management of a growing NFP charity.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support business decisions.
Provide insightful financial analysis to the management team to aid strategic decision-making.
Maintain and update financial records, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and company policies.
Support the preparation of year-end financial statements and liaise with auditors where necessary.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures.
Monitor key financial metrics, identify trends, and offer recommendations to improve financial performance.
Assist with ad-hoc financial reporting and special projects as required by the finance team or senior management.
Requirements:
Qualified or part-qualified AAT, ACA or CIMA accountant (or equivalent) with experience in management accounting.
Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and financial regulations.
Proven experience in preparing management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and familiarity with Sage Line 50.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
