GCSE English Teacher
Activate Learning is looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring GCSE English teacher to join our Construction and Engineering team based at Bracknell and Wokingham College.
You will be responsible for teaching learners studying Electrical Level 2, Engineering Level 2, and Construction Level 1 courses.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and embrace the power of learning. Alternatively, this could be an ideal development opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or English graduate looking to enter the teaching profession.
This is a part-time (22.2 hours per week working Monday, Thursday, and Friday) permanent contract.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for individuals who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave with not just their professional qualifications, but also the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is essential. Experience working with disengaged learners and inspiring them to learn is highly valued.
Qualifications and Experience
Previous teaching experience in the FE sector is an advantage, but it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications or experience to teach our English courses and demonstrate the attributes of an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development, and support to teach in the FE sector.
* It is desirable to have a teaching qualification and experience within education as a teacher, but this is not essential.
Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and will support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners.
You will also have strong organizational skills coupled with the ability to prioritize workloads and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with opportunities for career development.
