Remedy are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Business Studies Teacher to join our successful department in Southend. The successful candidate will have a strong background in business and economics, and a passion for educating the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders.
Responsibilities for a Business Studies Teacher:
* Plan, deliver and assess engaging and challenging Business Studies lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum and the school's schemes of work.
* Teach students a range of business concepts, such as marketing, finance, accounting, and entrepreneurship, and provide them with practical skills that will support their future careers.
* Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning, respect, and mutual support.
* Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback on their academic performance.
* Use a range of assessment methods to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
* Contribute to the department's extracurricular activities, such as business clubs, enterprise competitions and school events.
Requirements for Business Studies Teacher:
* A degree in Business Studies, Economics, or a related subject.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Relevant teaching experience in a secondary school setting, preferably within the UK.
* A thorough understanding of the National Curriculum requirements for Business Studies, and the ability to design and deliver effective lesson plans in accordance with them.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental and school goals.
