A market leading Civil Infrastructure & Utilities giant at the forefront of growth and investment seeks several hires across newly created roles in their strategic procurement function. The indirect procurement professional will be tasked contributing to impactful infrastructure projects that support the UK's net zero goals. You'll be working within a strategic procurement function where you'll be responsible for leading procurement activities across the end-to-end function to facilitate effective procurement category strategy and high-value procurement projects.
They seek proven procurement professionals to support the development and execution of new major infrastructure projects. The position will utilize strong commercial acumen, supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills to deliver procurement strategies for complex technical requirements. The successful candidate will possess strong industry experience working on large strategic procurement projects relating to energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute End-to-End Procurement for Networks (FM & Major Infrastructure Projects) relating to Energy & Utilities.
2. Manage Tender Process: Oversee the complete tender process, present sourcing recommendations and provide rationale to support decisions.
3. Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment between procurement and business planning, including defining the scope of tenders.
4. RFP Management: Create and release RFPs, negotiate with suppliers, and manage supplier selection. Lead Bid Evaluations: Lead bid evaluations, set evaluation criteria, and shortlist bidders.
5. Drive Commercial Value: Use influencing and negotiation skills to support contract award with commercially robust terms.
6. Conduct Reviews: Perform reviews of suppliers, procurement and costs, including benchmarking and data collection.
7. Ensure compliance with standards and policies, focus on continuous improvement, and incorporate lessons learned into future competitions.
8. Serve as an advisor and expert on all procurement issues for both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
9. Procurement Regulation Knowledge: Understand how to work within procurement regulations, including in-depth knowledge of Public Contracts Regulations (PCR) and related laws.
10. Strong procurement experience at Senior Buyer level+ for large-scale, multinational, or cross-functional utilities, facilities management or major infrastructure projects.
11. Strategic Sourcing Expertise: Skilled in strategic sourcing and category management, with experience leading and negotiating complex, high-value procurements.
12. Proficient in project management and reporting on procurement activities, project delivery relating to complex facilities management, construction and complex infrastructure projects.
