The Compatriot Limited (trading as) Mokad Foods is busy with demanding shifts and first-class service execution. We are lucky enough to have people waiting to dine with us. But, with that comes managing wait times in the most big-hearted way, on top of the responsibility of huge teams to lead and nurture. There is the support from of multiple Chefs at our restaurant on a busy weekends shift plus our waiters/waitresses all fully focused on their roles to support one another.
Our eclectic all seating Breakfast-Restaurant-Bar in Nottingham and is on the lookout for a Restaurant Floor Manager to join this new team! Our restaurant is a space dedicated to seriously good food, the most delicious and sincere tipples, great music and good cheer. Like any restaurant operation, our manager is imperative to the success of our business. We genuinely couldn’t do what we do without them!
As a restaurant floor manager, you'll have responsibility for the restaurant's business performance, quality standards, and health and safety, as well as staff and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
As a restaurant manager, you'll need to:
• take responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant.
• analyse and plan restaurant sales levels and profitability.
• organise marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount scheme.
• prepare reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales.
• create and execute plans for department sales, profit and staff development.
• set budgets or agree them with senior management.
• plan and coordinate menus, working closely with the Head Chef.
• help develop a wine list.
• coordinate the operation of the restaurant ensuring that kitchen, bar and waiting staff are working as a team.
• recruit, train, manage and motivate staff, with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service.
• respond to customer queries and complaints.
• meet and greet customers, organise table reservations and offer advice about menu and wine choices.
• maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety, including ensuring good food safety practices are followed.
• check stock levels, order supplies and prepare cash drawers and petty cash.
• comply with licensing laws and other legal requirements.

Work experience
• Restaurant management: 5 years
• Hospitality: 5 years
• Customer service: 3 years (preferred)
