Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:15 PM

Are you passionate about science education and looking for a hands-on role in a school setting? We are seeking a dedicated Science Technician to join a secondary school in Haringey. This is an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons by ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory activities.
This full-time position is set to begin in March and will continue for the academic year, with the potential for a permanent role thereafter.
Key Responsibilities
Lesson Preparation: Organise and set up equipment, chemicals, and materials for practical science lessons.
Health & Safety: Ensure the safe handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory chemicals and equipment in compliance with regulations.
Classroom Support: Assist teachers during practical demonstrations and experiments.
Lab Maintenance: Keep the laboratories clean, organised, and well-stocked with essential materials.
Safety Compliance: Conduct routine checks to uphold the highest safety standards.
Requirements
A strong interest in science and familiarity with school laboratory procedures.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
A proactive and supportive attitude when working with teachers and students.
Basic IT skills with a willingness to learn new systems.
Understanding of health and safety regulations within a lab environment.
