Hays Senior Finance are working with an established SME based in Widnes who are looking to recruit a Finance Manager. The company has been operating for 20 years and is profitable. They have in-house transactional support for invoicing but typically rely on their external accountants for accounting support. The business has now grown to a size where they require full-time, in-house accounts support. As Finance Manager you will take ownership of the department and provide the owners with meaningful management accounts, cash flow forecasting and scenario planning as well as meeting all statutory obligations. The owners of the business want a no-surprise culture where there are proper financial controls in place and provisions for future costs. The owners are open to change and will welcome suggestions on how best to run the business or fund specific equipment, vehicles and machines. The Finance Manager will be No1 in finance and report directly to the owners, so there is a real opportunity to add value and be involved in all decision-making.We are keen to speak to relevant candidates who can demonstrate plenty of hands on experience in SME companies.
