About the Role:
This is an exceptional opportunity to take on a leadership role within our UK PMO at GHD. As a highly experienced Project Manager, you will be pivotal in advancing our project management services, reinforcing GHD's market presence, and enhancing our profile and brand.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the future of our project management team by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities, providing strategic direction, and delivering technical expertise on projects. Key responsibilities include overseeing project development, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, optimizing project practices, and improving project outcomes.
We seek an individual who can leverage their leadership skills, technical knowledge, and industry insights to drive the growth of our project management business and deliver impactful results across our core sectors - Energy, Water, and Communities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Full ownership and delivery of the project or framework portfolio.
* Manage Contract Administration.
* Organize and document key pre and post-construction meetings with contractors.
* Collaborate with an integrated team across multiple disciplines.
* Verify project delivery obligations under the contract.
* Support the management and monitoring of all project aspects, including:
* Risk management
* Safety management
* Quality management
* Schedule management
* Project reporting
* Resource management
Experience and Knowledge:
* BSc degree in project management, engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
* Preferably experience working within relevant engineering sectors e.g. water, infrastructure, energy.
* Proficiency in written and oral English.
* Strong understanding of key project processes.
* Excellent communication skills and client understanding.
* Proven experience in coordinating multiple parties.
* Ability to meet deadlines with a "Completer Finisher" mindset.
* Team-oriented with good oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to facilitate meetings.
* Awareness of the construction industry.
