As a Quality Systems Auditor, you’ll be working Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 (flexibility is required for the role) There is an opportunity for Fixed Term or Permanent Contract - details to be discussed at interview stage. What will you be doing as a Quality Systems Auditor at Avara? As a Quality Systems Auditor you’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining, verifying and validating the HACCP, quality and welfare systems to ensure product is safe/of the correct quality/legal/sustainable. Supporting the management and continuous improvement of the quality systems, resulting in meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Be a representative of the Avara Foods Food Safety, Quality, Welfare, Environment and People proposition ensuring that Brand Integrity is upheld. What will your key responsibilities as a Quality Systems Auditor include? Implement and maintain the systems in place to ensure product is consistently produced to the agreed quality standard and specification. Example systems in use include SI (Systems Integrated), Dimaco and iAuditor Support problem solving to root cause when product or processes deviate from the agreed standard Support the Quality Systems Manager to ensure the procedures detailed within the Quality Management System and HACCP manual are in place, safeguarding the continuous accreditation to BRC and customer standards Engage with the Technical team and cross functional teams to bring the Quality Management System and HACCP manual off the page and into the factory Play an integral role in audits by customers and external bodies Complete internal audits as part of the schedule and support the completion of actions Complete the monitoring process and communication for GMP, hygiene, maintenance, food safety and quality metrics including downloading and compiling results from online laboratory portals. Compile the investigation, response and trending of customer complaints, ensure findings and effective action plans are communicated externally to the set timescales To provide trends in microbiological data and support the delivery of actions to make improvements Amend documentation, specifications and the labelling systems to ensure they are current and correct Respond to and complete supplier questionnaires, specifications, KPIs and queries Support with role of Primary Quality Auditor and Packing Quality Auditor when required Deputise for the Quality Systems Manager when required Ensure information is treated as confidential Other duties within the general scope of the post may be required from time to time What you’ll need to be successful: Essential Experience of food industry Understanding of food safety and quality assurance systems Functional skills English and Maths Level 2 Attention to detail Ability to plan and meet deadlines Ability to form good working relationships Excel / computer skills Good level of communication Forward thinking and motivated Compliance and quality conscious Team player Desirable Experience of fast-moving primary production environment Understanding of welfare, environment, labelling, weights and measures legislation Knowledge and experience of major retailers Intermediate Food Safety qualification Internal auditing qualification Basic Health & Safety training The benefits of working for Avara Foods: As a Quality Systems Auditor you will enjoy a secure, supportive and progressive working environment, where your contribution and achievements will be recognised and rewarded.
