We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Bid Manager to join our High Voltage (HV) Systems Commercial team in Bishopstoke. You will be responsible for supporting customer enquiries and managing tenders, which can range from the simple supply of cables and accessories through to complex turnkey contracts involving civil works, cable installation, jointing works and commission testing. Our HV Commercial team is at the heart of our relationship with these customers and supports customer enquiries and tenders with the aim of capturing business for the Company to achieve the Company's sales and profit targets. Responsibilities: Own the complete tender process from enquiry to tender submission through to order capture Act as single point contact for all internal and external communication on tenders You will determine bid tactics and pricing of offers Collate technical, operational and commercial information as part of the preparation of any tender submission. Undertaking post tender discussions and contract negotiation with the customer Tracking major projects in the UK marketplace, developing new business opportunities and long-term customer relationships Qualifications & Requirements Ideally hold a degree in a relevant discipline. However, this is not necessary depending on experience held. Preferably hold experience within planning. Proven strong negotiation and communication skills. Hold previous experience within a similar manufacturing environment. Excellent ability to develop and maintain effective relationships. Possess a strong commercial acumen. Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
