Two posts | Commissioning and Service Development Managers| 7864 | permanent contracts | 37 hours per week | £48,610 to £52,594 per annum | Grade L | Norwich (hybrid working)
Exciting opportunities have arisen to join the Integrated Commissioning team (Children’s Services) in both our Specialist and Complex and Prevention and Early Help Commissioning teams.
Our commissioning service plays a critical role in helping to deliver innovative solutions for families across Norfolk. We have ambitious plans to place children, young people and families and relationship-based practice at the heart of what we do, providing better and more integrated services to meet needs across Education, Health and Social Care.
We are recruiting for two Commissioning and Service Development Managers. One Manager will work within the Specialist & Complex commissioning team, developing support for children and young people with various needs, including special educational needs and disabilities. The other Manager will work within our Prevention and Early Help commissioning team, developing services to support young people and families as part of our Early Help and Prevention model, working within our family hub arrangements, and with our communities.
Your role will be to manage and lead a range of commissioning and service development projects on behalf of the Assistant Directors of Children’s Integrated Commissioning and their Strategic Commissioners so that commissioned provision is integrated with service development, provides value for money and is demonstrably contributing to improved outcomes and impact for children, young people and families.
You will support senior managers across the department to make use of data and evidence to inform departmental priorities for service development, working collaboratively with commissioning and operational colleagues, service users and commissioned providers to deliver action that addresses identified service development priorities.
You will manage and direct commissioning activity to ensure it is compliant with the department’s objectives and priorities and is supported by effective performance management.
With experience of commissioning and/or operationally delivering services for children and young people and their families, you will be passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people. Direct experience in Education, Health, Youth or Social Care would be advantageous.
We want our people to be inspired and motivated to work well together, make the most of our workspaces, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and deliver excellent services to Norfolk and its people. Flexibility is built into the way we work, with hybrid working a key feature for many roles. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.
We might be biased, but we think it’s a great role in a great place. If you think you have what it takes, we would love to hear from you.
