We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Officer to join a progessive manufacturing company with a global presence, yet a family friendly feel to their UK Head Office in Milton Keynes where you would be based. This is an office based, permanent role working Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.30pm offering a salary of £35-40k per annum plus excellent benefits as outlined below!
As Health & Safety Officer you will be reporting into the Factory Manager with site accountability for Health & Safety, coordinating activities required to meet company standards and legal requirements, acting as an ambassador ensuring that all employees (approx 80) are compliant as well as the business itself. Your main duties will include the following:
Advising employees on how to minimise or ultimately avoid risks and hazards in the workplace
To operate at all times with safe working practices according to Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, waste disposal, etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures
First aid duties
Working with and training all employees to manage, monitor and improve the health and safety standards in the workplace
Being responsible for all safety inspections in the workplace (for example, monitoring noise levels in a warehouse)
Assisting with the creation and management of health and safety monitoring systems and policies in the workplace
