HR Manager - 12 months fixed term contract (maternity leave cover) - Bodmin
We are looking for someone to lead the People Agenda on site, and deliver on the organisational strategy to create a Great Place to Work. A Third Level HR Qualification or a comparable certification is required. Additionally, we are looking for candidates with at least 3-5 years plus of hands-on generalist experience in the field of HR, ideally within a similar food production/manufacturing, high volume environment.
Please note this is a fully site based role, (Monday-Friday), 37.5 hours per week. We are also open to the option of a 30 hour week, over 5 days. Flexible working is available with hours between 6am-4pm each day.
Our client is a global food company serving international retailers and food service household names with prime cuts of meat, on-trend food concepts and ready-for-market convenience foods.
Responsibilities
1. In alignment with the Group People Strategy, your mission is to design and execute a site HR strategy that empowers the management team to achieve their business goals.
2. Provide a comprehensive HR service that ensures an exceptional employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to engagement, development, and recognition.
3. Implement Group policies and procedures while adhering to industry best practices.
4. Become an advocate for Enhancing Performance at the site, collaborating closely with the management team to foster a culture of high performance and talent development.
5. Lead the training function to meet all training and development requirements, customising training plans to enhance the capabilities, skills, and performance of our workforce.
6. Act as an integral member of the Group HR team, contributing to the continuous development and implementation of people-focused initiatives.
7. Support the site management team on strategic workforce planning. This involves identifying current risks and opportunities, understanding future skills requirements, and designing solutions to achieve organisational goals.
8. Mentor and develop the site management team, empowering them with exceptional people management skills that drive productivity, engagement, and inclusivity.
9. Lead the site HR team to provide a best-in-class HR service that encourages development and progression within the department.
10. Deliver timely and insightful people metrics to the site management team to enhance communication, gain valuable insights, and drive performance.
11. Champion the company Values at the site, showcasing our ambitious drive to create an exceptional workplace.
