The Role:
* Position: Caretaker.
* Salary: £15-£18 per hour, based on experience.
* Location: Walthamstow, East London.
* Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
* Start Date: Immediate.
* Contract: Temp to Perm.
As a Caretaker, you will play a key role in maintaining the school's premises, ensuring it remains a safe, clean, and functional space for staff and pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the general upkeep and cleanliness of the school buildings and outdoor areas.
* Open and close the school each day, securing the premises.
* Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs, reporting larger issues as needed.
* Monitor heating, lighting, and security systems, ensuring everything is in working order.
* Assist with setting up classrooms, halls, and spaces for school events.
* Support with general site duties to keep the school running smoothly.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Caretaker, Site Assistant, or Facilities Worker (school experience is a bonus but not essential).
* A practical and proactive approach to site maintenance.
* A strong understanding of health & safety procedures.
* Reliability, good organisational skills, and the ability to work independently.
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
