Job Summary
To assist in the preparation of monthly accounts, assist the Business Analyst, and provide cover for the transactional team as required.
Duties
1. Assist in preparing timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations, particularly the bank reconciliations for all currencies.
2. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, posting depreciation, prepayments, accrued income, customer rebates, GRNI accrual, lease interest, Ferrypseed charges, bad debt provision, sample accounts provision, stock movements, stock adjustments, departmental recharges, and divisional allocations and recharges.
3. Provide cover for the Finance transactional team as required.
4. Assist with the monthly customer invoicing.
5. Plan, implement, improve, and support the business in the development and use of Volt and the associated sites. Member of the Volt committee.
6. Influence process reviews and support with the documentation of meaningful knowledge pages and articles in the Volt Knowledge Hub.
7. Conduct quality reviews of the complaints logged to ensure we meet the ISO standards and provide feedback to individuals where there are gaps in knowledge. Escalate risks to the business analyst.
8. Support the business analyst to produce meaningful case studies by carrying out investigations and reviewing data.
9. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
10. Assist in internal control reviews.
11. Assist in special projects and ad hoc requests.
Experience
* Previous experience in a finance-related role is desirable.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good organizational skills and ability to multitask.
