Reports to: Director, England and Wales Programmes Overview The Operations and Compliance Manager is responsible for supporting core parts of IFSA’s study abroad programs in London, England and Wales. They are primarily responsible for managing organizational and logistical processes related to housing, London Program Centre facilities and services, and staffing, as well as working with the Academic Manager to ensure compliance with UKVI Tier 4 visa sponsorship legislation. They also assist the team with additional programme operations aspects where relevant. Responsibilities Facilities Management Ensure the London Program Centre is maintained to the highest possible standard Ensure compliance with relevant Health, Safety & Welfare legislation Operational and financial management, administration, organisation and planning of daily site maintenance and cleaning routines, within budget Oversee contracts, provider relations, and continuity of Centre building services including security, cleaning, catering, technology. Serve as primary point of contact for subcontracted space renter Serve as designated Fire Marshal, First Aider Compliance Use UKVI Sponsor Management System Track, monitor, and report on all CAS issued Work with Academic Manager to monitor attendance for all Sponsored Students, maintaining accurate records Work in partnership with colleagues to ensure compliance with Quality Assurance Agency, British Accreditation Council, and UKVI requirements Housing Operations Responsible for developing expertise in the London housing market Work closely with colleagues to ensure housing needs are met and allocations are made that best meet student requirements and maximize occupancy Programme Operations Provide organizational support as required for welcome events and orientations for students, delivery of custom programs, and events for external partners Requirements, Experience and Education Significant work experience, with evidence of progression in responsibility in sectors such as higher education, international education, study abroad Proven management experience Experience vetting and working with vendors; facility management; and budget oversight Familiarity with Tier 4 visa sponsorship protocols and CAS letter issuance Familiarity with health and safety legislation Ability to engage with and support students with diverse lived experiences including students of color, students with mental and physical disabilities, first-generation college students, and LGBTQIA students An ability to respond calmly and professionally to emergency situations General knowledge of the university system and student life in the UK a plus Undergraduate degree required The legal right to work in the UK is required Ability to work in the office 5 days per week. Physical and Work Environment Working on a computer, placing phone/video calls, working in documents and systems Required to walk and stand for long periods of time, potentially outdoors in the heat or cold Regular travel around the city of London and England required with occasional travel to Wales and other offsite locations to support program activities as needed.
