You will utilize your expertise to support the operation, including tooling activities, clear project responsibilities, and accountabilities, both in project lead and project support roles defined by the Head of Operations.
Effective departmental cross-functionality is critical where multi-manufacturing site activities are linked, e.g., tooling, continuous improvement, automation, and printing, additionally and more importantly, all-encompassing health and safety protocols.
The role requires involvement and support in relevant NPD and MVB projects with a focus on in-market product improvements. You will work with line managers, engineering, and quality teams, collaborating with various cross-functional teams to meet individual department manufacturing models.

The role will report to the Head of Operations and is a key role in the delivery of the business strategy focused closely on LEAN and CI activities to deliver world-class operational functions within your areas of responsibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead, manage, and motivate the team. This includes all aspects of talent management such as ensuring the right people, right roles, and right capabilities. Actively develop and mentor employees to promote the next generation of leaders and develop a strong and deep leadership talent bench.
* Ensure that rigorous performance management processes are in place to recognize and incentivize high performance and manage underperformance where standards and targets are not being met.
* Maintain an overview of state-of-the-art technology development within the industry and its impact on business manufacturing goals. Contribute to the company's awareness of key technologies and make investment recommendations and decisions accordingly.
* Align with the quality and engineering teams to ensure that products are thoroughly tested and compliant with stated specifications. Support the manufacturing teams with product issues and support the QA compliance, design, and inter-company teams as required.
* The post holder will have the ambition to learn and be mentored to actively support the teams and take pride in the gains and efforts delivered to the businesses.
* Develop close working relationships across the business at all levels.
* Proactively identify operational strengths and weaknesses to help agree on future business and training needs with the Head of Operations.
* Involvement of new and current products to ensure an efficient, organized, and cost-effective operation is achieved.
* Produce project documentation as necessary and support locals to achieve a safe, effective improvement.
* Involvement in supporting continuous improvements and lean activities, understanding improvements in quality, financial and operational efficiency needs on joint projects.
* Provide comprehensive costing support on project budgeting and cost management.
* Champion the QSHE agenda, ensuring full compliance, promotion, and progression within the facilities.
* Strictly monitor and manage cost budgets so they are met and not exceeded without clear reason and authorization.
* Provide ad hoc support, as needed, for the Head of Operations in the execution of their wider role.
