Do you enjoy helping and caring for others?, We are looking for an experienced Healthcare/Admin Assistant to come & join our units in Northampton and Milton Keynes on a casual basis. One unit will be your base and mileage will be paid for travel to the other. You'll work as part of the admin team in carrying out administration tasks in an efficient & friendly manner ensuring that clients feel accepted, supported & confident about BPAS services. When working as a HCA, you will assist the clinical team to maintain & improve high standards of client care within the operating department & recovery areas. You will also carry out assigned tasks unsupervised in support of a registered practitioner & care for our clients. Candidates will need to be comfortable with terminations of pregnancy and seeing this procedure in theatre.,
* Answer and direct telephone queries, liaising with both internal and external colleagues, as necessary.
* Accurately check or complete BPAS and legal paperwork, ensuring all relevant documentation is available for the clients episode of care.
* Monitor, edit and amend appointment list, using as appropriate BPAS booking system, informing clients if changes to their appointment become necessary.
* Assist in the monitoring, control and ordering of stock, sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare and despatch statistical information and reports.
* You will assist with the care, support and observations of the client before and after treatment, reporting findings to the Registered Practitioners
* You will help check and prepare the operating department environment and equipment prior to use, between clients and at the end of a list
You will have experience working in healthcare, especially in a hospital, GP practice or operating theatre setting. You will also have experience of working within an office environment, where you've carried out administration duties. You will be an excellent communicator both internally and externally and will demonstrate a friendly and positive attitude when interacting with clients, colleagues, and external parties., Experience of dealing face to face with patients who may be upset, within a care environment.
* Knowledge of clerical procedures including checking documentation, telephone, and reception duties.
* Care certificate in healthcare / NVQ Level 3 in health and social care /Diploma in health and support level 3
* Good attention to detail, supportive towards colleagues and clients and is an effective team player.
