We are looking for a Nursing Home Manager for our nursing home in Birmingham.
This home has great potential, providing an opportunity for a new manager to truly make their mark on the service.
Our home has a strong nursing team and clinical lead, as well as a supportive Regional team.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong commercial acumen, a passion for care and quality, and the ability to manage their own home independently (no micromanagement).
While we would prefer a nurse manager, we are also open to considering a manager without a PIN who has strong clinical experience in managing nursing homes.
This home specializes in caring for the elderly with dementia.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Lead, inspire, and engage your team to deliver quality and personalized care and support to our residents, enabling them to live later life well.
2. Accountable for the commercial and financial performance of the home, including occupancy levels and operating profit, while ensuring regulatory compliance.
3. Ensure that all care plans are person-centred, reviewed, and updated regularly.
4. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
5. Ensure all staff members complete mandatory and specialist training.
6. Conduct staff appraisals and supervisions to support their continuous professional development.
7. Complete internal and external audits and inspections of the service.
8. Carry out investigations of any alleged misconduct and abuse reported in the service and take appropriate action.
You must be:
1. Ideally a Registered Nurse with a current PIN or an experienced Nursing Home Manager.
2. Have over 2 years of experience working at management level.
3. Have worked in a Care Home with a Good CQC rating.
4. Hold an NVQ Level 4 or RMA.
5. Experienced in quality and clinical governance programmes, including audit and care services.
6. Experienced in working in the healthcare sector.
7. Driven, motivated, and committed to quality care.
