Bolton laboratory undertakes antenatal screening for the north west of England, the Midlands and Scotland, currently processing around 56,000 samples per annum for the calculation of chance for Down's, Edwards' and Patau's syndromes. Main duties of the job The main duties of this post include:- Accurate sorting, labelling and preparation of specimens for analysis Loading the specimens onto the analysers Inputting patient details on to the laboratory computer system Other duties to include dealing with telephone enquiries and performing clerical tasks as required Full training will be given for this role. In addition the post holder will be expected to assist in compliance with UKAS standards.
