CNC Supervisor - Hastings
Permanent | Full-Time | Swing Shift
My client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Supervisor to lead operations within their Machine Shop based in Hastings. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business during an exciting period of growth and process improvement.
For candidates relocating from outside East Sussex, a £3,000 sign-on bonus is available as part of relocation assistance (£2,000 paid with your first salary and £1,000 upon successful completion of a 6-month probation period).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the Machine Shop team on a swing shift
Ensure all safety protocols are followed, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Enforce a zero-tolerance policy on scrap by ensuring adherence to processes and escalation of issues.
Liaise with the scheduling team to ensure on-time delivery and respond proactively to changes in capacity and demand.
Manage the shift's P&L, improve productivity and efficiency through data analysis and cost control (e.g., tooling).
Promote cross-functional skill development and foster team engagement.
Conduct regular one-to-one and team meetings to review performance and development objectives.
Facilitate skip-level meetings to ensure alignment and transparency across the team.
Support the business with additional tasks as required.Team Structure:
Responsible for 3-5 Team Leaders on one shift

Proven people management experience (Essential)
Strong problem-solving capabilities (Essential)
Experience implementing Lean / Continuous Improvement methodologies (Essential)
Hands-on CNC experience - particularly with milling and turning (Essential)Key Performance Areas:
