Due to growth, we are looking to expand our team to work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and key stakeholders in the Oil & Fuel business unit to understand spend requirements and support supply negotiations to achieve both cost book and savings targets. Building relationships with Suppliers, Depot Managers, Finance Team, and Senior Management is essential to support Regional Managers in making correct buying decisions, ensuring contract obligations are met and the best price is achieved.
Having at least one year of proven experience within a buying/Supply Chain role or being educated to a 2:1 at a degree level within Business Management or a related field is required.
The ideal candidate will be a resilient, confident, organized, thorough, detail-oriented individual with good IT skills.
The Role
* Monitor and manage stock levels for depots nationwide.
* Monitor the availability of fuel products from a portfolio of suppliers.
* Secure additional supply channels when required due to demand.
* Produce data to support the Supply Chain Manager in providing uninterrupted supply of fuel products to meet business requirements based on seasonal demands.
* Raise and communicate orders with suppliers and third-party logistics providers.
* Provide performance data for both bulk supply and our 3PL partners.
* Analyze pricing data to ensure we’re procuring fuel at the best possible price.
* Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Support the Supply Chain Manager in forecasting monthly demand.
* Coordinate and share supply chain KPIs effectively.
* Effectively communicate our supply position with internal stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
* At least one year of proven experience within a buying/Supply Chain role.
* Excellent communication and relationship skills across multiple channels.
* Strong influencing ability.
* Team player who liaises with and helps other key departments.
* Demonstrated ability to manage internal stakeholders and external suppliers while working to tight deadlines.
* Ability to negotiate under pressure and handle multiple responsibilities independently.
* Ability to work within defined processes.
* Effective IT skills, particularly in MS Office, Word, and Excel.
