Tradewind Recruitment are looking for an experienced, passionate, and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teacher to start at a special school in Moseley, South Birmingham. The position is to start in January 2025 to cover a maternity contract for a 12 month period.
The school supports primary pupils aged 5-11 years. All pupils have an education, health and care plan. The primary area of need includes cognition and learning, and speech, language and communication needs. Pupils also have associated needs, such as physical, sensory and medical needs. Their highly skilled and enthusiastic staff work with the children and their individual needs to promote independence, communication and social skills.
Highly experienced SEND Teachers are encouraged to apply but, as long as you have at least 6 months of experience as a Qualified Teacher in a SEN Setting, we'd like to hear from you.
Experience/ Requirements:
- QTS or Equivalent
- Minimum 6 months experience teaching within a special school
- TEAM TEACH Certificate (Preferred)
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to apply for a new one
- An outstanding educational practitioner with high expectations
