Job Title: Matlab/Simulink Specialist

Salary: £41,000-£51,000 (Depending on skills and experience)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Matlab/Simulink Specialist to play a pivotal role in developing advanced engineering toolsets for aerodynamics. This position will involve working with cutting-edge software to support the design and modelling of aerodynamics systems for a variety of aerospace applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of new aerodynamics engineering toolsets, including planning and managing the progress of toolset releases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, harmonise, and refine requirements for toolsets that meet the needs of various projects.
• Contribute to the alignment of toolset development with broader Digital Engineering initiatives and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches.
• Mentor and guide team members, ensuring the adoption of best practices in toolset development.
• Promote and encourage the use of developed toolsets within the wider engineering community.
Skills and Experience:
• Strong experience with software development, version control systems, and engineering tools.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink or similar toolsets.
• Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating integration of requirements.
• Familiarity with Linux systems and programming languages such as Python or Java is desirable.
• A degree-level qualification in a STEM-related subject.
• A problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with others.
