They have worked on iconic projects and are now recruiting for a Senior Estimator to join and lead their Bid Team The Senior Estimator will be responsible for leading the bid team and ensuring clients receive high-quality commercial and technical submissions that meet industry-leading standards. This role involves chairing bid meetings, briefing the team, liaising with clients and internal subject matter experts, and ensuring timely bid completion in compliance with company policies. Key Responsibilities Formulate and agree on bid strategies with the Preconstruction Director to secure profitable orders and achieve business targets Develop clear understanding of client requirements by forming strong relationships with clients Oversee preparation, coordination, and delivery of client presentations to successfully secure projects Establish, manage, and maintain approved bid budgets Oversee the establishment, production, and implementation of bid management processes, including: Compiling tender settlement documentation Creating bid management plans and programmes Selecting major supply chain partners when required Liaise with supply chain members to formulate bid offer aspects Contribute written technical, legal, and financial content to bids Maintain document control and register of clarification responses Record meeting proceedings and conduct customer intelligence gathering Ensure full compliance with tender requirements for all bid deliverables Lead Tender Settlement meetings to obtain approvals and project handovers Establish and maintain Project Risk Registers Stay informed of company best practices and innovations across the business stream Implement lessons learned from post-bid analysis to improve future bids Required Skills and Qualifications Degree qualification in a relevant field Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) Knowledge of CANDY or similar estimating software High level of literacy and mathematics Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE, MICE, MIStructE) is desirable Exceptional attention to detail Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple bids, and maintain accuracy Thorough understanding of the construction tender process Self-motivation with high energy and enthusiasm Excellent communication and presentation skills Experience Proven experience in preconstruction and tendering Document control expertise Team management experience On-site construction experience Behaviours Ability to remain calm under pressure Skill in establishing and maintaining good relationships with clients and colleagues Assertiveness and confidence to address unsafe operations or practices Commitment to developing and mentoring others Embrace and promote company Leadership and Teamwork Foster open and honest communication
