Job summary
The post holder is a member of the catering team responsible for providing catering services within an eating disorder service and in-house coffee shop to staff, patients, and visitors. Responsibilities include preparing, cooking, and serving food and beverages to standard recipes, cleaning, completing paperwork, ordering supplies, cash handling, and providing hospitalities. The shift pattern will be over 7 days between 7.30 am and 6.30 pm.
You must have the Right to Work in the UK to be successfully appointed. Please note, this role does not meet the eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa, and the Trust cannot offer sponsorship for this role.
Main Duties of the Job
We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused, reliable, and flexible Cook to join the Trust Hotel Service's Team. The role involves shift work, including hours from 07.30 am to 6.30 pm, providing catering in the eating disorder kitchen. Candidates should demonstrate good culinary skills, knowledge, compliance with HACCP, allergens, and related paperwork.
The role requires knowledge of cleaning duties, chemical use, and equipment handling in a demanding environment. Responsibilities include preparing, cooking, and serving meals according to hygiene standards, maintaining hygiene and safety, and assisting with menu planning. Candidates should have a good general education, hold a minimum of Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality, and be IT literate. Ability to travel across sites independently is also required.
