Job Description
To provide direct line management and inspirational leadership for the Management and Operations Team and key delivery staff, leading to an empowered and motivated workforce:
1. Operational oversight of daily activities - including management, delivery, funding, compliance, Monitoring and Evaluation.
2. Work with key stakeholders locally, nationally, and internationally ensuring strong and effective relationships, whilst identifying new partnership opportunities to increase the Foundation’s work and visibility.
3. To support with the development of Sheffield United Community Foundation’s strategic and business plans, linking staff objectives and supervision to help meet organisational priorities.
4. Work with the Management team to identify and generate grant-funding, partnership, and commercial opportunities to support new projects and initiatives to help the Foundation achieve its business and strategic objectives.
5. To support the CEO and the Management team with compiling and monitoring annual operational and departmental budgets, whilst supporting future financial planning.
6. Work through identifying and obtaining external grant funding, and leading on project implementation and monitoring and evaluation requirements.
7. Support the Safeguarding and Compliance Manager in refining and reviewing working practices, policies, and procedures to enhance business operations.
8. Accelerate the growth of the business through commercial development.
9. Provide HR support to all staff where required.
10. Support the CEO in the recruitment and training of new staff.
11. Improve the quality of provision through strategic oversight and delegation to the Management and Operations team.
12. Provide leadership support during future monitoring visits and inspections.
13. Improve economic efficiency across the business.
14. Audit funding documents, providing challenge and support to the Management team to ensure accuracy.
15. Support the CEO in the strategic growth plans through geographical and contractual expansion.
16. Network and act as a lead figure, representing the business at conferences and events.
17. Produce strategic reviews, board reports and critical analyses of the business.
18. To develop bespoke and innovative programmes (with partners) which enhance the community offer at the Foundation.
19. To implement appropriate staff targets around recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression for all programmes in line with funding provider/partner requirements.
20. To ensure full compliance with codes of practice, Health and Safety, Risk Assessment and Safeguarding.
21. To ensure that accurate accounts are kept on work/projects delivered and work in line with financial and administrative systems.
22. To network with other providers/groups to support and be involved with strategic developments.
23. To undertake CPD as necessary and relevant to the post.
24. To proactively always promote SUFC and the Foundation.
25. To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Chief Executive Officer.
