Key responsibilities:
* Preparing monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
* Providing financial analysis and business insights to support decision-making
* Managing financial reporting processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
* Supporting the annual budget-setting process and long-term financial planning
* Working closely with academic and administrative departments to improve financial efficiency
* Assisting with year-end accounts and liaising with auditors
About you:
* A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or significant relevant experience
* Strong analytical and financial reporting skills
* The ability to communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
* Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
* A proactive and solution-focused approach
* Experience working in a higher education, charity, or public sector setting (desirable but not essential)
