Salary: £12.85 PAYE / £17.13 UMBRELLA

Hours: 37 hours per week
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Environmental Services Technician to join the Local Services Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to contribute to the cleanliness, safety, and environmental standards of local facilities, public spaces, or service sites.
The role will mainly involve working with ground maintenance team but when required operative will be required to work with cleansing team: litter picking, assisting area cabac drivers and completing specific tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with routine cleaning and environmental maintenance tasks, both indoors and outdoors.
Support waste management, recycling, and disposal in line with environmental regulations.
Operate cleaning machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
Respond promptly to service requests from the public, staff, or management teams.
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues.
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Work collaboratively with the wider Environmental Services team to ensure efficient service delivery.
Provide courteous and helpful assistance to members of the public, where appropriate.

Has a good understanding of health, safety, and environmental policies (training will be provided).
