About the Role: Our site at Rogerstone Park, Newport, employs around 1,600 people and specialises in the development and production of a wide range of chilled meals for retail customers. It’s a dynamic, fast-paced environment and we now have an opening in our team for a Hygiene Manager. Reporting to the Head of Technical, some of your key responsibilities will include: Leading and developing your team, ensuring high hygiene standards are maintained and best practice is followed at all times. Provide direction and motivation to your team, through coaching and training, so that departmental targets and KPIs are achieved. Promoting a proactive culture of continuous improvement, looking for savings and more effective ways of working. Developing a safety-first culture, ensuring all H&S requirements are met. Managing labour and materials costs and looking for opportunities to improve efficiencies while maintaining high standards. About You: Demonstrable experience of leading and developing hygiene teams in a chilled/high-care food manufacturing environment. Strong leadership skills, able to motivate and develop teams to achieve targets and deliver improvements. Proven experience of improving and maintaining hygiene standards, leading hygiene audits, and ensuring compliance to BRC and retail customer standards. Strong Health & Safety background, able to implement accident reduction plans, investigations, and risk assessments. Knowledge of HACCP and Critical Control Points.
