Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust are looking for a Mechanical Pipe Fitter to join our friendly Estates and Facilities Team at Queens Medical Centre. Our Mechanical Pipefitters work across both engineering disciplines, using both their Electrical and Mechanical skills.
Key Job Responsibilities:
· Test, diagnose and repair faults on engineering and/or electrical and plumbing installations and equipment.
· Manufacture, assemble and install new work and carry out repairs, maintain and efficiently run plant and equipment.
· Carry out maintenance on domestic hot water, mains cold water, plumbing, high temperature hot water heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and steam heating systems.
· Carry out specialist repairs on larger items of plant such as high pressure industrial
steam boilers and absorption chiller plant, autoclaves, air conditioning, microprocessor
controlled equipment, also general domestic repairs.
· Carry out electrical work to a limited extent, where it is associated with mechanical
installations (with relevant training and approval).
· Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings and specifications appropriate to his/her
trade, without supervision.

Person Specification
· Must have a recognised and registered EITB, NVQ qualification or other approved
training.
· Must be able to demonstrate you have five years post qualification experience in
a similar specialist role in a commercial or industrial building services engineering.
· Must have experience in Fault Finding.
· This role requires good manual dexterity and ability to work at height using access from ladders/scaffold and work in confined spaces.
