The Role and About You
The University of Southampton has an in-house security service providing 24-hour cover across a number of sites and is looking for additional full time permanent security officers.
You will work on a rotating shift pattern across the week (Mon-Sun) of 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off. Although based at the Highfield Campus your duties will take you to all of our other sites patrolling on 12.5 hour shifts, so you can expect a varied and interesting work pattern.
A full, manual car driving licence is required, and you should also be able to demonstrate a good customer focused work record. You will also be required to spend some time within our central control room, therefore experience within this type of environment would be desirable (CCTV, alarm receiving, radio dispatch etc.).
Successful applicants without a Security Industry Authority Licence to Door Supervisor Level will be required to pass the week-long course at their own cost within 6 months of starting.
