Are you an experienced District Nurse with a Practice Assessor qualification looking for a new challenge in North Lincs? As an experienced District Nurse with a Level 7 Practice Educator qualification, you will be delivering advanced, high-quality clinical interventions to your patients whilst supporting the education and training of the future District Nurses workforce. The Community Practice Assessor holds a pivotal role in teaching, facilitating learning, and the specific assessment of District Nursing students and all staff within the District Nursing Service to ensure they have the right knowledge and skills to provide assurance that the workforce will deliver high-quality care to meet the needs of the population, including patients with continuing healthcare needs, health coaching, and well-being. The Practice Assessor will conduct evidence-based assessments of students in line with the HEI curriculum and NMC standards, also providing constructive feedback while working alongside the academic assessor.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will demonstrate skills commensurate with their level of practice across all four pillars of practice. In addition to their clinical and teaching responsibilities, they will also act as role models in terms of leadership and quality improvement culture. Working with multiple partners within and outside the organization, the post holder will promote, support, and develop our community nursing workforce, including specialist community clinicians in line with NMC requirements and standards for the Specialist Practice Qualification. This post will provide the opportunity to take forward the expanding role of community nursing within the multi-disciplinary integrated team to meet the long-term conditions and end-of-life care agenda, linking and working closely with GPs. It is expected that you will have an understanding and commitment to the continuing development and modernization of community nursing and must have effective communication and negotiation skills. The post is suitable for a newly qualified District Nurse, who will gain caseload management skills and experience over a 6-month preceptorship period.
