Job Title: Cyber Security Consultant
Location: Remote role with occasional travel for meetings.

Summary:
The Cyber Security Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security solutions to protect enterprise environments from cyber threats. The role requires expertise in risk assessment, security architecture, compliance frameworks, and threat intelligence. The consultant will collaborate with stakeholders to assess vulnerabilities, develop security strategies, and ensure adherence to best practices in cybersecurity. A strong understanding of cloud security, network security, and security automation is essential to safeguard digital assets.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Assess and analyze security risks, vulnerabilities, and threats within IT infrastructure and cloud environments.
* Design and implement security architectures and solutions to mitigate cyber threats.
* Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards in line with industry best practices.
* Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to identify risks.
* Implement and manage security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, and encryption tools.
* Monitor security events, analyze threats, and respond to incidents in coordination with SOC teams.
* Ensure compliance with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and CIS Controls.
* Provide security advisory and recommendations for cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
* Automate security operations using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
* Conduct security awareness training and workshops for employees and stakeholders.
* Stay updated with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
* Proven experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and security operations in enterprise environments.
* Hands-on expertise with security technologies, including firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
* Strong understanding of network security, cloud security, and identity and access management (IAM).
* Experience in implementing security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR compliance.
* Knowledge of security tools, scripting, and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Terraform.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and mitigating security risks.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate security risks into business impacts.
* A minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on experience as a Cyber Security Consultant or Security Engineer.
