Barnes Roffe Recruitment has partnered with a leading Engineering client based in the City of London, in their search for a new HR Director. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be integral in fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture aligned with their strategic goals. Their turnover is circa £80 million, employing 450 staff.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Developing and implementing a forward-thinking people strategy supporting overall business objectives.
* Driving initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
* Partnering with senior leadership to align people strategy with business strategy.
* Leading the development and implementation of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) programs.
* Fostering an inclusive culture where diversity is valued and leveraged for innovation and success.
* Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and best practices related to DE&I.
* Leading people transformation initiatives to enhance engagement, performance, and organizational agility.
* Implementing innovative HR technologies and practices to improve efficiency and employee experience.
* Driving change management processes to support organizational growth and transformation.
* Building and developing a high-performing People team providing exceptional service.
* Providing coaching and mentorship to organizational leaders to enhance their people management capabilities.
* Promoting leadership development programs to ensure a future leadership pipeline.
* Designing strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
* Developing initiatives to improve the overall employee experience, from onboarding to career development.
* Monitoring and assessing engagement levels and implementing improvement plans.
* Establishing key People metrics and dashboards to monitor performance and inform decisions.
* Providing regular reports and insights to senior leadership on People initiatives, challenges, and opportunities.
* Utilizing data analytics to drive continuous improvement in HR practices and outcomes.
* Ensuring HR policies comply with relevant laws and regulations.
* Developing risk management strategies related to People operations.
* Overseeing employee relations and resolving conflicts fairly and consistently.
Key requirements:
* At least 5 years’ experience in a similar leadership role.
* Background in Engineering or Manufacturing industries is advantageous.
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
