About the Role
Job purpose
To provide HR support and guidance on a range of people related matters across the employee lifecycle. Partnering with our teams, you will collaborate closely with managers and employees to drive HR initiatives, promote a positive work environment, and ensure the alignment of HR practices with organisational goals and values.
Main duties
* Supporting managers on all people issues.
* Support in induction process.
* Supporting on employee relations, guiding managers to manage processes effectively.
* Management of sickness absence, working with managers to take appropriate action.
* Provide regular communications to managers and teams on best practice HR.
* Support and facilitate training and development, working with the Performance and Development team.
* Develop strong engagement, wellbeing and development initiatives to focus retention and succession planning.
* Support the HR team in delivering the people strategy.
* Working with the HR team to ensure HR goals and objectives are met and the business receives a professional HR service.
* Maintain an up to date knowledge of employment law changes and share with the organisation where necessary.
* Ensuring accurate records are kept in line with legislative requirements.
* Supports the wider HR team with any Projects or additional ad-hoc duties from time to time as required.
* Provide coaching and upskilling to managers regarding people issues including, but not limited to, disciplinaries, grievances, probations, absence management, flexible working and performance improvement.
* Note taking at formal meetings.
* To abide by & promote health & safety, ensuring all approved policies & processes are followed.
* Any other duties deemed appropriate for the role.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* A full clean driving licence with access to a car.
* CIPD Level 3 or relevant experience.
* CIPD Level 5 - desirable.
Knowledge
* Importance of confidentiality and following GDPR requirements.
* Understanding of the working time regulations.
* Adept with Microsoft Office package.
* Working knowledge of Employment Law.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Employment Law - desirable.
Experience
* HR Advisory role.
* Multi-site/business.
* Succession Planning - desirable.
* L&D - desirable.
