Personal Assistant/Support Worker needed to start ASAP, based in St Leonards on Sea, TN37. I am an active disabled man who is a power wheelchair user, with low level personal care, and moderate cognitive impairment. I am active in my community with a wide range of interests including Hastings United and leftwing/local politics. I’m looking for a PA / Support Worker to support me with attending Hastings United games locally and further afield, as well as generally accessing the community in my local area. This includes socialising, shopping, visiting boot sales and going out for dinner. Occasional vegetarian food preparation required at home before or after a day out. The post is for 10 hours per week, £12 per hour (pay review pending), to be worked Saturdays and Sundays. Additional shifts may be available weekday evenings and to cover other PAs due to holiday or sickness. You must be a driver able to drive a manual wheelchair accessible vehicle. Also a non-smoker and cat tolerant with no allergies. References and an up-to-date DBS will be required.
Duties include:
Support me with attending Hastings United games locally and further afield, as well as generally accessing the community in my local area
Socialising, shopping, visiting boot sales and going out for dinner. Occasional vegetarian food preparation required at home before or after a day out.
