Purpose of the role:
To lead and inspire the Reception Team to provide the highest level of service. To be the first point of contact for guests and to be an ambassador for the hotel.
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
1. To create a positive, energetic, standards driven, results focused working environment.
2. To act as a mentor and role model for the Reception Team.
3. To inspire and develop each Team member to reach their fullest potential.
4. To attend all meetings representing the department and relaying all vital information to Team.
5. To communicate effectively with all other departments and build strong working relationships.
6. To ensure all departmental SOPs are adhered to.
7. To constantly seek to improve and implement dynamic SOPs to support service excellence.
8. To ensure all billing is accurate and all revenue is captured.
9. To ensure the guest arrival experience is consistent with 4-star deluxe standards and to room all guests.
10. To create awareness of all VIP arrivals amongst the hotel team.
11. To ensure the local area and attraction information is up to date.
12. To anticipate guests’ needs and to exceed expectations.
13. To have an excellent knowledge of all hotel facilities and to assist with all guest enquiries.
14. To manage safe storage and delivery of guests’ luggage.
Key Requirements: Proactive approach, attention to detail, demonstrate initiative, absolute professionalism at all times, high standard of personal grooming.
Education: GCSE level.
Skills and Experience: Hotel reception supervisor experience minimum of 2 years.
