Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or Learning Support Practitioner with a passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
We are seeking dedicated professionals to support students in primary, secondary, and special schools across Rugby and the surrounding areas. Types of Roles and Responsibilities:
* Teaching Assistants (TAs): Support the delivery of engaging, pre-planned lessons and activities that cater to the individual SEMH needs of students, encouraging positive classroom participation.
* Learning Support Assistants (LSAs): Provide tailored one-on-one or small-group support, helping students manage their emotions, build confidence, and develop resilience.
* Learning Support Practitioners (LSPs): Deliver focused, specialist interventions to students with complex SEMH challenges, promoting both academic and emotional growth.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Adapt to diverse classroom settings in various schools, ensuring continuity of SEMH support for students.
* Contribute to creating a calm, inclusive, and safe learning environment where students feel supported and valued.
* Monitor and assess the progress of students, offering constructive feedback to them and collaborating with staff to refine strategies.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and pastoral staff to develop and implement plans that address the unique SEMH needs of each student.
Types of Work:
* Day-to-Day Cover: Flexible roles that fit your schedule and preferences.

Requirements:
* Level 2+ Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant qualification or equivalent (Desirable)
* Recent experience working with children in special educational settings (Desirable)
* Strong understanding of special educational needs and the ability to adapt to various teaching environments.
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting students.
* SEND experience or training
* Passionate about providing high-quality support to students and contributing to their educational journey.
