ITS Principal Engineer Jacobs is a market leader in the transportation sector and some of our largest clients include National Highways, Transport Scotland, the Welsh Government and many local authorities. Internationally, we work on some of the world's mega projects, for example, the King Salman International Airport. We are looking to appoint an experienced Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) or Traffic Signal Principal Engineer to deliver our projects. About the Opportunity You will join our Aviation, Rail and Technology group within the wider Transportation business unit and, as an experienced colleague, you will support with project delivery and the technical mentoring of the wider team. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: Head design on projects Liaising with clients and with other Jacobs teams to support growth Manage technical excellence and safety in design Management of the resource input to projects, including forecasting and coordinating delivery to programme and budget Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation and Jacobs' Health and Safety culture Experience in the design and managing ITS or Traffic Signal projects Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) Thorough understanding of using design standards Ability to head a design team and work unsupervised Experience of the financial management and control of projects Professional Membership of a recognised industry Institute / Institution Our Culture Our values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
