We are a dynamic company aiming to deliver the highest quality services for children and young people living with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Communication and Sensory impairments and associated needs.
We are currently recruiting for the position of Registered Manager to open our second Children’s Home in Westbury.
About the home:
The home is set at the heart of Westbury and will support up to 3 children between the ages of 8-18 years who have a learning disability. You will be responsible for providing compassionate care during your time in the Home, ensuring the home is managed in line with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards, as well as company policies and procedures. You must be familiar with OFSTED guidelines and inspections.
About you:
* You have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in a residential setting (within the last five years) and at least one year of working at a supervisory level.
* You either hold, are working towards, or are prepared to undertake the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* You have awareness and understanding of The Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards, as well as The Children's Act 1989 and all other relevant legislation.
* You have a passion for improving the life outcomes for vulnerable young people and experience in supervising, guiding, and supporting staff, managing budgets, and completing detailed and analytical reports.
* You are a caring, passionate person looking to kick start a new role in an enthusiastic, supportive team!
* You are a team player and can demonstrate the values of the home.
* You can use your transferable skills and life experience.
* You are capable of supporting vulnerable children with varying needs.
* You have strong communication skills.
* You are confident in organizing and updating care plans.
