Sports graduate – Manchester
Are you graduating in Sports with a good classification? Are you looking for work in education?
We are working exclusively with a large Secondary school in Manchester, who are looking for a recent Sports graduate, who may be looking to pursue a career in education or wishing to embark on a PGCE in the future to work in the PE department as a tutor and teaching assistant. The role will start in ASAP, it will be full time.
You will be responsible for supporting pupils within the Sports department in key stage 3 & 4, you will also have a small timetable (these are called intervention groups) where you will provide intensive support to small groups of learners. You will formulate a superb understanding of the curriculum at KS3 & 4, which will bode well for their future studies. You will be supported by outstanding teachers and a strong, highly recognised leadership team.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
1. Degree educated with a good classification, in a Sports subject
2. High grade in English & Maths at GCSE level
3. Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) desirable but not essential
4. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, online training can be provided)
5. Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, online training can be provided).
6. Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
7. Hold Right to Work in the UK.
8. Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £
9. Provide a minimum of two professional references covering at least the last two years.
10. Provide a history from your education in Secondary School to the present day, with a full employment history.
