The Paediatric and Neonatal units are looking for enthusiastic and motivated doctors to join our friendly and dynamic team.
You will be part of the medical team, offering assessment and delivering high-quality, patient-centred care for children and young people across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
You will have the opportunity to gain experience in undertaking quality improvement and audit work, advocating for children and young people.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for work under the supervision of Consultant Paediatricians. You will take part in the full shift rota and be expected to participate in the day-to-day activities of the department, working as part of the medical team.
Contribute to the provision of a comprehensive efficient paediatric service across Milton Keynes.
Provide evidence-based care for all patients within their sphere of responsibility.
Liaise effectively and in a timely manner with the General Practitioners, Community Services, and all other health care agencies when appropriate.
Responsible for carrying out teaching as required and to contribute to postgraduate and continuing medical education activity.
Required to participate in audit and clinical governance.
Involvement in research is encouraged.
Medical and dental staff employed by the Trust are expected to comply with regional and appropriate hospital health and safety policies.

Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
* MD / DCH in Paediatrics
* MRCPCH
* Evidence of 2 years of General paediatrics experience including neonatology
* Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment
* Evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies by time of appointment in line with GMC standards in Good Medical Practice
* Tertiary unit neonatal experience
* NHS experience
