Role OverviewOur client is forming a first-class delivery team to drive the successful execution of major infrastructure projects, including the Sizewell C Nuclear Power Project. They are seeking a highly skilled Project Planner to take responsibility for developing and managing project schedules, ensuring that all milestones are met on time and within budget.
This hybrid role combines the flexibility of remote work with the requirement for regular site visits and office-based collaboration. The Project Planner will play a critical role in coordinating efforts, mitigating risks, and keeping projects on track.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Scheduling:
Create, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools.
Integrate subcontractor schedules into the overall project timeline and manage milestones effectively.
Conduct critical path and earned value analysis to ensure the project remains on track.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Track and monitor project progress, providing regular updates to key stakeholders.
Prepare comprehensive progress reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to aid decision-making.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess potential risks that could impact project timelines or budgets.
Develop robust contingency plans and propose effective mitigation strategies to minimize delays.
Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure alignment across all activities.
Facilitate planning workshops to synchronize efforts and maintain consistency in scheduling.Requirements
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
Membership of APM or PMI (desirable).
Experience:
Proven track record in planning and scheduling for large-scale infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with NEC contracts and working in regulated environments, such as energy or nuclear sectors.
Skills:
Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other planning and reporting tools.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to liaise effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.What’s on Offer
