Accounts Assistant / Credit Controller (Part-Time)

Salary c.£26K - £28K FTE DOE
On behalf of our client, McKinty Associates are delighted to invite an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our client’s busy Finance team on a Part-Time basis.
Working as part of a small finance team, the successful candidate’s main responsibilities will include maintenance of the sales ledger accounts for two business entities within the Group.
The ideal candidate would be available over 5 days for c.20-25hrs per week.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Manage and maintain outstanding/overdue accounts.
· Ensure customer queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
· Issue monthly statements as required.
· Pursue outstanding debt by telephone, email and written requests.
· Month-end reporting, advising Financial Controller of aged debt and debtor days.
· Work closely with all department to resolve customer queries to allow acceptable levels of debt collection.
· Allocate all payments.
· Assist with accounts administration duties, to contribute to the effective running of the Finance Department.
· Relevant ad hoc duties as required.
Eligibility criteria:
· Recent experience working as part of a busy accounts team
· Previous credit control experience
· Practical knowledge of computerised accounts packages (preferably Sage 200)
· Strong IT Skills - with a high level of expertise in use of Microsoft Excel
· Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and workload
· Strong planning and organising skills
· Good numeracy and time management skills
· Keen eye for detail
