About the Role:
As the Children's Registered Manager, you will oversee a well-established residential home for children and young people with complex needs. You will ensure the home delivers high-quality care, meets regulatory standards, and fosters an environment where young people can thrive emotionally, socially, and educationally.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management:
1. Provide strong, compassionate leadership to a team of care professionals.
2. Ensure staff are supported, trained, and motivated to deliver excellent care.
2. Compliance and Standards:
1. Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and relevant legislation.
2. Maintain and improve the home's Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating.
3. Operational Oversight:
1. Manage budgets, resources, and staff rotas efficiently.
2. Oversee the care planning process, ensuring individual needs are met.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
1. Work closely with social workers, local authorities, and families to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
2. Represent the home positively in the community.
Essential Requirements:
1. Experience:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Children's Registered Manager.
2. Proven track record of achieving at least a Good Ofsted rating in previous roles.
2. Qualifications:
1. NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent).
2. In-depth knowledge of relevant childcare legislation, including the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
3. Skills and Attributes:
1. Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
3. A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.
