National Flexi-Hire role based in Skelmersdale is on the lookout for a dynamic and confident logistics planner to facilitate hire movements across the UK.
The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure and have excellent planning and communication skills. Working in a commercially driven environment, the logistics planner will be able to think on their feet, communicate effectively with drivers, workshops, hire desk and customer alike, keeping all interactions and decisions logged and auditable using their suite of IT skills.
Working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Tasks
* Orchestrate reactive and planned vehicle movements for flexi hire, MOT and servicing.
* Supervise drivers and manage holidays and sickness cover, sourcing additional cover as required.
* Build relationships with depots and drivers to ensure true flexibility and national coverage.
* Manage transition from spot to contract hire and vice versa.
* Work alongside Depots to improve vehicle availability, communicating business priorities and off-hire notifications.
* Provide updates to customers on deliveries and collections.
* Liaise with fleet, sales and depots to orchestrate arrival of new fleet.
* Build relationships with existing customers by delivering excellent customer experience handling inbound rental enquiries by phone/email.
* Create new relationships to generate new hires by proactively contacting prospects.
* Investigating and handling invoice/sign off queries with accounts.
* Arranging hire cars (when required by depots/HQ staff).
* Update shared files on Glovebox.
* Compile reports as and when requested.
* Insurance and Operators licenses are on file and up to date.
* Compiling and distributing the Flexi Hire Summary for day/week.
* Raise advanced PO’s, signing off related invoices once they come through.
* Uploading signed rental paperwork to system and contacting Depot/customers for returned copies.
* Extracting (and compiling) compliance documents for each vehicle and emailing to customer.
* Adding/removing/updating company/fleet vehicles to various online accounts.
* Add enquiries won and lost hires to Salesforce.
* Adding/removing/updating fleet vehicles to Dartford Crossing and Merseyflow accounts.
Experience - Essential
* Logistics, transport or hire background.
* Full clean driving license.
Skills - Essential
* Microsoft suite administration skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Negotiation.
* Transport/asset movement planning.
